Sometimes I’ll have a clove of raw garlic with it and maybe some fruit. I sprinkle it all with turmeric and cracked pepper, break the egg yolks, and enjoy my nourishing and filling “breakfast salad.” I might have to add sauerkraut too though! Such a great idea.

That’s a great idea. I never thought to do that!

They taste the same to me 🙂

I’m a huge fan of probiotics and would totally make this for dinner. We have a small flock of chickens so I’m positively silly with eggs. Any new egg recipe is welcome!

Oh no! Allergies are such a bummer. Oh well, smoothies are quite delicious as well. And I totally agree — breakfast is definitely the best meal of the day. 🙂

Hi Amy. As Marie mentioned I have done a post where I share what I’ve been eating lately here: https://www.eatingbirdfood.com/what-i-ate-wednesday-healthy-fats/. To be completely honest I’m hesitant to give advice because I’m still working through my issues and figuring out what works. That said, here’s what I’ve been doing — upping my calorie intake and sticking with all whole, real foods. No processed foods, no added sugars, adding in protein and LOTS of healthy fats etc. Workout wise I’ve added in yoga, stopped running and I’m doing shorter workouts (30 minutes) with weights so that I can build/maintain muscle. Hope this helps a little. Best of luck with your journey.

Have you seen these two posts – https://www.eatingbirdfood.com/dealing-with-post-pill-amenorrhea/ and https://www.eatingbirdfood.com/what-i-ate-wednesday-healthy-fats/

She talks more about it in those. There is also some good info in the comments section.

I’d add a sriracha drizzle of course 🙂

I have amenorrhea due to anorexia even though my weight is now in a normal range. I’d love to get my body to work correctly through food! Thanks for being so open about your period problems!

Alas, I’m allergic to eggs so not so good for me. I love a good breakfast smoothie though! Or if I’m feeling fancy, some sausage and roasted sweet potatoes. Best meal of the day!

I’m more of a sweet breakfast gal and go with the overnight oats, but I actually eat this meal for lunch most days. Sweet potatoes and eggs go together so well!

It’s my me time of the day and when I can focus on the tasks I need to tackle ahead. I have never tried sweet potatoes for breakfast yet and eggs are too heavy for me in the mornings. I eat plenty of fruit and cereals and sip a cuppa of coffee in the mornings. That gets me energized and ready!
