Can you add protein powder to this?
Hi Ashley – Adding protein powder could potentially dry out the oatmeal to much (especially depending the protein powder), so you would need to add more liquid. You could make my Protein Baked Oatmeal and add bananas and peanut butter (the best combo) hope that helps!
Just love this recipe, thank you. I make it every other week but mash my bananas as they’re frozen. It seems to work well though!
Amazing! I am so glad to hear that you are loving this recipe, Jane. Thank you for your review & star rating, it means so much to me!
Husband loves this. Iโm not a big PB girl, myself. By request, he asked me to double the PB. Now Iโve been making this for him and the berry erosion of baked oatmeal for myself. The only thing I do differently is add 4 eggs (because we love them) and I think my non-measured cinnamon would be like 1T worth. Iโve made these like 4 weeks in a row. Such easy breakfasts. Thanks!
Berry erosion ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ. I meant the berry VERSION of the baked oatmeal lol
YUM! I am so glad you and your husband are loving these baked oatmeals, Amy. Thank you so much for coming back and sharing your review & star rating, I really appreciate it! p.s I totally knew what you meant lol!
I made this today and it was yummy.
I did add blueberries which added bursts of sweet.
Happy to hear you enjoyed this oatmeal, Amber! Love the addition of blueberries as well. Thanks for the review! I so appreciate it :).
I make my own vegan honey, could i use it to replace the maple syrup?
That should work!
Can you substitute egg for the flax?
Yes, definitely!
Love this just like I love most of your recipes. My one year old devours this for breakfast!
(I usually reduce the amount of maple syrup when making it for her but thatโs the only change I make)
Woo!! So pumped this baked oatmeal has been a success, Sarah! Thanks so much for the review and star rating. It means so much to me!
